Born and raised in Gridania, Luceina (or Luce) lived peacefully with her father and later also welcomed a stepmother and stepbrother into their small family for a few years. However, everything came crashing down because of the Seventh Umbral Calamity. Her family were killed and her stepbother was still missing. Having no family and relatives, Luce went through several foster parents for a few years before she ran away from her last foster family, who was so horrible to her, and became an adventurer in hope she can find her missing brother.

For a while, she's a lone wolf with no attachment to anything or any place she came across. That's until she met the people that she can finally trust.
